Living on the Borderline (LOTB) is a peer-led mental health community for anyone living with, exploring, or healing from a Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD) diagnosis. Founded by Meg from lived experience, LOTB is a space for connection, reflection, and real talk. Whether you're newly diagnosed or deep in your journey, you're welcome here.

We offer space to confront hard questions, find support, and celebrate growth together.

Slowly Stitched is a podcast exploring the intersection of fashion, mental health, and identity. Co-hosted by Meg Zeenat Wamithi, each episode invites honest conversations about sustainability, self-expression, and slowing down in a fast-paced world.

Together with creatives, designers, and changemakers, we unpick the pressures of the industry and stitch together new narratives around conscious living, vulnerability, and creative healing.

As Founder & Former CEO, MindMapper UK empowered over 100,000 young people from Year 7 students through university, by delivering mental wellbeing education and support. The organisation partnered with schools, colleges, universities, employers, and youth groups worldwide to help young people take their first steps into mental health awareness and develop the skills to navigate life’s challenges.

Before MindMapper, Meg led My Mind Matters Too, a youth mental health campaign that reached 35,000 young people across the UK. The campaign engaged 5 schools, 6 universities, 17 organisations, and delivered 15 impactful events. It received media coverage on Channel 5 News, BBC London, BBC 1 Extra, and The Guardian, and was honoured by One Young World, Student Minds, and The Diana Awards for its achievements in youth mental health.

Since 2022, Meg Zeenat Wamithi has served as an Ambassador and Judge for the Smiley Movement’s Charity Film Awards, supporting the celebration of inspiring stories that raise awareness around mental health and social impact.

The Smiley Charity Film Awards are the world’s largest campaign dedicated to promoting cause-based films. Recognized by the British Film Institute (BFI) and IMDb, the awards aim to celebrate and emphasize the success of film in fundraising, increase exposure of charity films, and encourage donations for good causes. Since its inception seven years ago, the awards have supported over 5,000 charities and captivated the engagement of almost 1 million individuals through voting .

 

Through this role, she helps spotlight powerful films and voices driving positive change, championing creativity as a catalyst for healing and advocacy.

Meg Zeenat Wamithi is the Patient Lead and Lived Experience Advocate for Mad Youth Organise, a youth-driven campaign under Just Treatment focused on ensuring fair and equitable access to mental health care for young people. The campaign empowers youth to lead the fight against corporations profiting from the youth mental health crisis, while holding both government and industry accountable for policies that harm young people’s wellbeing.

In this role, Meg draws on her lived experience to amplify youth voices, guide campaign strategy, and advocate for systemic change that puts young people’s mental health needs first.

In 2023, Meg Zeenat Wamithi collaborated with the Peter Jones Foundation to embed mental health and wellbeing education into their entrepreneurship programmes. Alongside Peter Jones CBE (BBC Dragon’s Den), Meg served as a judge for the National Entrepreneur of the Year competition, evaluating young entrepreneurs from across the UK.

The judging panel also included notable figures such as Tara Lalvani, Chris Bird, and Simon Alexandero, author of Energize. Meg’s involvement ensured mental health and resilience were central considerations in assessing the next generation of business leaders.

Appointed in 2021, Meg Zeenat Wamithi serves on the board of BecomingX, a global learning and development company co-founded by Bear Grylls. BecomingX is dedicated to creating a world where everyone can realise their potential by demystifying what it takes to succeed, making success skills identifiable, teachable, and accessible.

The organisation operates through four pillars: corporate training to develop high-performing employees; educational content for schools; inspirational films featuring iconic figures; and social impact programmes aimed at empowering disadvantaged communities through the BecomingX Foundation.

As a board member, Meg contributes her expertise to guide the company’s mission of unlocking potential and fostering personal growth worldwide.
